ising 25 stories, Three Light Luxury Apartments is the newest landmark tower of gleaming glass among the downtown Kansas City skyline. For those looking to live in an urban setting, the location is unmatched. Located in the Power & Light District, a lively nightlife is within walking distance, offering a diverse bevy of restaurants, bars, concert venues and cultural attractions. Just steps away from the streetcar line, an endless selection of events happen nearby at the T-Mobile Center, Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, B&B Theatres Mainstreet KC and the Midland Theatre.

Developed by The Cordish Companies, Three Light elevates the standard of apartment living downtown. From 350-square-foot studio apartments to 2,300-square-foot, two-story designer penthouses, the complex boasts a variety of open-concept floor plans with panoramic views, soaring ceilings, designer finishes and chef-inspired gourmet kitchens. Many residences include private balconies, as well.

“The views are stunning,” notes Nicholle Soendker, Cordish’s director of residential marketing. “There is no better place to watch the action downtown than from your apartment’s floor-to-ceiling windows.”

Residents are invited to essentially extend their living space with the building’s ample amenities, designed to encourage a social environment, as well as to provide nooks for privacy or working outside of individual apartments. They can relax at the expansive outdoor terrace,  take a dip in the infinity-edge pool and spa and gather at the fireplaces and fire pits or in the fitness center, club room and theater room. The Cordish hospitality team also curates an extensive roster of resident events.

“There are places to interact with your neighbors and friends throughout the building,” Nicholle adds. “Many of our residents enjoy that they can meet people and network at our events—the paint-and-sip class is a favorite!”

The building is controlled-access, with a five-story parking garage. The lobby is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With visual salutes to local jazz legends Count Basie and Charlie “Bird” Parker throughout the building, Three Light celebrates Kansas City’s vibrant musical heritage. Two large jazz-themed murals also decorate the exterior of the building.

There’s just no worries, no stress living here. We love it.”

Considering Three Light’s comprehensive package of resort-inspired amenities and hospitality-influenced service, renting an apartment there provides a signature living experience—and Kansas Citians of all ages have taken note.

“All types of people make it a vibrant community,” Nicholle says. “We have empty-nesters moving downtown from the suburbs, young professionals just starting out, even people wanting a second-home retreat or weekend getaway. Three Light is simply the best option for those who have always dreamed of living in a downtown setting but never took the leap. You’ll experience a best-in-class, maintenance-free lifestyle in the most luxe building in Kansas City.”

Randy and Linda C. were one of the first residents to move into the building. Their apartment on the southwest corner of the 23rd floor includes two balconies.

“We have been thrilled with living at Three Light,” Linda says. “The view is amazing.”

The couple previously lived in Liberty for many years but were ready for a change and bought a condo in a nearby downtown tower. “We enjoyed it, but it was landlocked, so it didn’t have open views. After living there for several years and going through maintenance issues and assessments for building upkeep, we were done with homeownership,” Linda recalls.

At that pivotal moment, they noticed the “coming soon” signs for Three Light.

“The timing was just right for us, so we reserved our unit almost two years before moving in while we waited for construction to be complete,” Linda says. “We love the floor plan and all the outdoor space. In addition to our balconies, there are three outdoor areas on the upper floors that are easily accessible to us. We are jazz enthusiasts with season tickets to the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, so we also enjoy the jazz-inspired decor. There’s just no worries, no stress living here. We love it.”
