fter shopping trips in St. Louis and Dallas, Maison de Marnie co-owners (and friends) Stephanie Richardson and Marcia Jacobson were inspired to fill a gap in Kansas City’s retail market and open a shop that provided unique gifts for the person who has everything.
Stephanie worked in retail for 18 years before she and Marcia, a former nurse, opened Maison de Marnie at Leawood’s Park Place. The shop’s name is a Frenchy combination of the two co-owners’ names.
Since its opening in September 2022, the shop has specialized in gifts and home decor. It offers a curated collection of one-of-a-kind finds and exclusive wares from Thomas Blonde, Vinglacé, Glasshouse Fragrances (Australia), Violet + Brooks, LX Artworks, and their newest line, Acqua Dell’Elba (Italy). Shipping, curbside pickup and local delivery are all available. The shop also hosts pop-up events where customers can sip bubbly while perusing new selections.
Stephanie and Marcia continue adding new inventory, including antiques and vintage accessories, to provide their customers with fresh and unique options for all their gifting and home decor needs.
