ansas City just scored bigtime. Two NFL legends have brought their A-game to KC’s dining scene, serving up prime steakhouse cuts, gloriously crafted cocktails, and a stunner of a gold spiral staircase that lets you know who’s arrived.
At 1587 Prime, Kansas City Chiefs icons Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce lent a nod to the name with their jersey numbers—15 and 87—co-founding the sumptuous steakhouse with global hospitality powerhouse Noble 33, helmed by Tosh Berman and Mikey Tanha.
From the moment you step inside 1587 Prime, it’s clear this isn’t your average chophouse. Nestled inside the luxe Loews Hotel in downtown Kansas City, the restaurant is a far cry from the city’s stockyard past, and designed by The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry in NY, it’s a celebration of design rivaling that of the biggest cities.
Why Kansas City? Why not? The city that once helped define American hospitality is now the proud host of a venue that blends sports stardom with fine dining finesse.
1587 Prime isn’t just about what’s on the plate—it’s about the full experience. Guests enter through a concierge area that mimics the energy of a stadium tunnel, complete with a refrigerated display of dry-aged steaks that sets the tone for what’s to come.
Inside, the two-story dining room seats 240 in a space that’s both grand and welcoming.
“It’s elegant yet inviting,” says General Manager Tanner King.
The lower level offers intimacy, complete with a small dance floor and nightly live jazz.
“And when there’s a home game, one entire wall slides open to reveal the broadcast,” King adds.
The streamlined Art Deco ambiance pays homage to the gridiron in subtle, stylish ways. Armchairs feature leather stitching reminiscent of footballs, while marble flooring at the entrance is inlaid with field-yard markings. Overhead, chandeliers glow in an X-and-O pattern just like a playbook.
Upstairs, a loft space accommodates about 40 guests and includes a private trophy room for VIPs. Most notably, the open-view kitchen showcases Executive Chef Ryan Arnold and his team as they prepare the restaurant’s signature prime cuts.
At its heart, 1587 Prime is a steakhouse—but not just any steakhouse. It’s a love letter to Kansas City’s culinary heritage, infused with the energy and ambition of its founders.
The menu is a celebration of premium meats and refined technique. From dry-aged ribeyes to inventive sides and curated wine pairings, every detail is designed to impress. The experience is as much about savoring the moment as it is about the meal.
Cocktails are divided into Classics, The Players, and Free-Spirited creations—each a playful nod to the gridiron. Crafted exclusively for 1587 Prime by Nobel 33 Hospitality’s Bar Manager, Juan Carlos Santana, they elevate the art of mixology. Even Swifties will find delight in Taylor’s favorite, The Alchemy, a lyrical blend of clarified citrus vodka, dry Curaçao, aronia berry, cranberry, strawberry, lime, and oolong tea.
“With 1587 Prime, we didn’t just set out to create another steakhouse,” says Noble 33’s Todd Berman. “We worked with Patrick and Travis to capture the essence of Kansas City—its pride, its hospitality, and its passion for great food—while staying true to Noble 33’s brand vision and design aesthetic.”
That vision is already resonating. The restaurant has quickly become a hotspot for locals, travelers, and fans alike—those eager to experience a space where championship energy meets culinary artistry.
1587 Prime is more than a restaurant—it’s a destination. It’s where the city’s jazz legacy meets its football fervor, and where the spirit of Kansas City is plated with pride.
With its immersive ambiance and undeniable star power, 1587 Prime is already proving to be a champion.
The menu is a carnivore’s dream, brimming with indulgent proteins, from a 40-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk presented table-side to prime cuts of filet, strip, ribeye, and porterhouse. Enhancements range from lobster tail and crab to bone marrow, blue cheese, or even a flight of house-made ketchup—Mahomes’ signature favorite. Every plate arrives on dinnerware stamped with the Chiefs’ mascot, KC Wolf.
