The vision for this kitchen was to create the heart of the home—a space that could stand confidently on its own while still feeling connected to the rest of the house. Although the home flows seamlessly from room to room, it was intentionally designed without an open-concept layout. The kitchen reflects many of the design elements carried throughout the home, including exposed wood beams and striking marble details.

Marble from the backsplash was extended around the window to create a continuous architectural moment, while café curtains soften the crisp stone and introduce a sense of warmth and charm. The design also draws inspiration from traditional English kitchens, particularly in the trim selections and the range alcove, while incorporating modern conveniences such as a dedicated coffee nook and contemporary appliances. The goal was to create a kitchen that feels layered, warm, and timeless—with just a touch of old soul.

Warmth and texture were introduced through natural wood elements, including exposed beams, oak flooring, and stained wood pantry doors. An arched doorway softens the geometry of the space and creates a graceful transition between the living room and kitchen. Brass accents and globe pendant lights add character and cohesion, completing a kitchen that feels both inviting and refined.
