Outdoor Living Space + Pool Suburban Oasis Inspired by shows like Pool Kings and Insane Pools: Off the Deep End, this client envisioned his backyard as an immersive outdoor environment
Custom Home up to 3,000 sq ft
The homeowners sought a transitional home with modern finishes that paid homage to traditional architecture. Their goal was to create a functional, open-concept floor plan for their family of four that could also accommodate guests and entertaining. Key priorities included a sleek, hotel-like primary suite with a bathtub, a kitchen that flowed seamlessly to the living spaces, and flexible spaces for growth. The exterior was envisioned as a blend of farmhouse charm and the symmetrical Father of the Bride aesthetic, with durable, neutral finishes that could evolve with their style over time.
Floor plans were developed to alternate between open, connected spaces and more defined, private zones, achieving a sense of flow without losing intimacy. A two-story living space with expansive windows brings in light and volume, while lower ceiling heights in the kitchen and dining areas create a more inviting, human scale. In the kitchen, wood and painted cabinetry, natural marble tile and countertops, and an unexpected modern hood surround reflect the home’s transitional style with a modern twist. The staircase was intentionally tucked behind the fireplace to reduce cost and square footage, while the open second-floor loft and railing above emphasize the height of the main living space and create visual connection throughout the home.
