Set on more than 20 acres of rolling hills, mature trees, and a four-acre pond, this custom estate was designed as both an entertainer’s destination and a private retreat. From the beginning, the vision was to honor the natural landscape while creating spaces that invite connection, relaxation, and lasting memories. The plan includes a main residence, barn, pool, outdoor kitchen, and fire pit—each carefully positioned to capture views and flow naturally with the terrain.

Inspired by the homeowners’ roots in Colorado, the design blends rustic character with a lighter, more refined sensibility. Expansive windows, vaulted ceilings, and thoughtful sightlines blur the boundary between indoors and out. Natural materials—wood, stone, and metal—anchor the home in its surroundings, while balanced textures and elevated finishes keep the spaces warm and welcoming. Functionality was equally important: the home was designed for aging in place, durable country living, and comfortable hosting of long-term guests.

The property’s topography presented early planning challenges, as each structure needed to preserve privacy while maintaining visual harmony across the landscape. The home’s hilltop location overlooking the pond also meant every elevation had to be visually compelling. Highly customized materials—including reclaimed beams sourced from Utah and specialty millwork from Wisconsin—required detailed coordination, particularly with the homeowners living out of state.

The final design carefully orients the home and outbuildings to frame views and preserve mature trees. Reclaimed wood, natural stone, and metal roofing accents add depth and character, while large windows and open living spaces connect the interior to the land. The result is a refined rustic estate that celebrates nature, craftsmanship, and everyday living.
