The remodel transformed a dated Tuscan-inspired main floor into a modern European retreat for a family of five. The clients sought a home that combined functionality with timeless design—ample storage, clever nooks for pet bowls and the robot vacuum, and thoughtful organization throughout. Having admired a previous project by the team, they arrived with clear inspiration, prioritizing flow, style, and purposeful spaces.

“De-Tuscanizing” the main floor required comprehensive updates: painting nearly every surface, refacing trim, and removing existing cabinets and built-ins to start fresh. A wall between the kitchen and living room was removed to open the space while preserving essential kitchen storage. Every detail was carefully considered, from iPad charging stations to dedicated spots for school papers and the robot vacuum, ensuring both beauty and practicality.

The design reimagined the kitchen and living areas with modern European elegance. Light hardwood floors with an ultra-matte finish, a plaster fireplace, handmade tiles, natural stone countertops, and a muted palette of taupe and white created a cohesive, warm aesthetic. Archways and radius corners in doorways, openings, and custom bookcases further unified the space. The powder bath received a refined tone-on-tone blue update with wallpaper and detailed trim.

The result is a home that balances style, function, and family life—where every corner is thoughtfully curated, spaces flow seamlessly, and modern European design feels more enduring.
