In this kitchen renovation, the space strikes a clean balance between form and function. A hidden scullery adds practicality, while custom walnut cabinetry adds refined detail.

The sliding terrazzo slabs cleverly conceal a spice rack behind the cooktop—a homeowner’s request that required careful coordination among the architect, contractor, and cabinetmaker. Terrazzo, used throughout the project, brings cohesion and texture to the design. As the kitchen’s focal point, countless hours were spent refining the build strategy—how to make it work, look seamless, and last. Although the first terrazzo delivery arrived damaged, the team reordered and proceeded as planned. The success of this feature came down to finding the right materials and determining the precise order of operations for installation. The homeowners are thrilled with the final result—and the team is equally proud of how it all came together.
