The vision for this primary bath and bedroom suite was to create a serene retreat defined by calm, clarity, and quiet luxury. The homeowner imagined a Zen-inspired space—bright, minimal, and thoughtfully organized—where visual clutter disappeared and every item had a place. Function was just as important as beauty, with concealed storage designed to accommodate everything from daily essentials to carry-on luggage.

Natural light, warm wood, and refined materials shape the spa-like atmosphere. A freestanding soaking tub and steam shower were chosen as restorative focal points, while the overall palette remains soft and tranquil. The goal was to create a space that felt effortless and organized while offering subtle architectural moments that elevate everyday routines.

The original layout presented several challenges. A large arched window above the built-in tub limited flexibility and consumed valuable wall space. At the same time, the client wanted two distinct vanity zones—one for daily use and another dedicated to makeup and hair—along with substantial hidden storage. Integrating luxury features such as a steam shower, heated towel rack, and music system while maintaining a calm, uncluttered aesthetic required careful planning.

The solution began by replacing the oversized arch with a smaller transom window aligned with the closet window, restoring natural light while freeing the wall for a new vanity layout. Custom cabinetry with deep drawers and a full-height storage tower conceals personal items and luggage, while marble countertops and wall-mounted faucets reinforce the clean aesthetic.

Rift-sawn white oak slats add warmth at the makeup vanity, and a dramatic ten-foot rolling mirror door provides both function and sculptural presence—completing a tranquil, spa-like sanctuary.
