The goal for this Jack and Jill bathroom was to create a playful, functional space for two young girls while honoring the 1920s Tudor home’s historic character. The original bath was dated, lacked storage, and didn’t reflect the personality or needs of its users. The vision was a space that felt feminine and whimsical yet rooted in timeless craftsmanship.

Design challenges included sloped ceilings, a tight layout, and the need to balance durability with elegance. Storage had to be maximized without crowding the room, modern updates needed to respect the home’s period details, and finishes had to withstand daily use while remaining visually engaging.

Solutions centered on thoughtful material and layout choices. Custom wood cabinetry provides ample storage, giving each girl her own space, anchored by a tall center cabinet for visual balance. Pink wall tile and a bold floral wallpaper add whimsy while nodding to period-appropriate color palettes. Brass fixtures, lighting, and hardware tie seamlessly to the home’s Tudor detailing. A clawfoot tub blends nostalgia with practicality, while geometric patterned floor tile grounds the room with durability and visual interest.

The result is a bathroom that feels joyful today, yet sophisticated and timeless enough to grow with its occupants. It successfully combines functionality, historic authenticity, and playful charm, creating a space that serves both practical needs and aesthetic delight for decades to come.
