The Old Fashioned

This project centered on a renovation that harmonized tradition and modern functionality. The homeowners sought to expand the kitchen of their 1928 home for cooking, entertaining and family gatherings, all while preserving the home’s historic integrity.

The solution came through innovative space planning, maximizing every inch of available space. The design included a large kitchen island, custom cabinetry and distinct zones for cooking, entertaining and personal tasks. A standout feature is the hand-picked granite slab island, with a butcher block for prep work. Custom pocket doors hide the laundry and bath area, adding to the kitchen’s elegance. In the upstairs staircase, the team integrated walnut spindles to match the original millwork. A carefully crafted hallway now provides access to a fourth bedroom, ensuring the home’s flow and accommodating the homeowners’ needs in terms of space and style.
