Bath

Relax. Renew. Revitalize.

In a home nestled within an exclusive subdivision designed for empty nesters, the project team transformed a dated lower-level guest bath into a serene, spa-like retreat. Focused on relaxation, renewal and revitalization, the remodel offers the perfect blend of luxury and functionality.

The space now features a freestanding soaking tub, a large two-person shower and a state-of-the-art infrared sauna—chosen for its health benefits. Despite structural challenges, including rerouting plumbing and working around an unfinished basement, the team creatively incorporated these obstacles into the design. A soffit hides ductwork, while an angled shower wall maintains accessibility for plumbing.

The final design blends contemporary elements with organic warmth. A tropical print wallcovering contrasts beautifully with the warm eucalyptus wood sauna and live-edge shelving, while black matte fixtures and marble-look tiles add sophistication. Overall, the space not only accommodates guests, it offers the homeowner a year-round sanctuary.
