Vision in the Village

With a keen eye for design, the homeowners of this Prairie Village residence sought to reimagine their space, blending Old World charm with modern refinement. Walls were opened, rooms were redefined, and a striking new kitchen took shape—crafted for both intimate family moments and grand entertaining.

During demolition, extensive termite and wood rot damage was uncovered, requiring structural reinforcement before the transformation could proceed. The design also introduced challenges, particularly in executing the elegant curved staircase and custom handrail, which had to balance aesthetic appeal with strict building codes.

The reconfigured layout now offers a natural flow, beginning with a grand entryway framed by graceful arches. A sophisticated pantry and prep kitchen complement the spacious new kitchen, while glass partitions lend distinction to the front room, now a refined library lounge. Personal antiques and curated details complete the vision, infusing this home with enduring character and charm.
