Remodeled Residence over 10,000 Sq. Ft.

Corrigan House

This landmark Kansas City residence, originally designed by Louis Curtiss, has been carefully updated. The project honored the home’s historical significance while modernizing it to fit the needs of a growing family. The kitchen was expanded by removing a central island, creating a more inviting, open space. A new primary suite was relocated to the east wing, where muted tones and luxurious materials offer a spa-like atmosphere. The adjacent bathroom features a Waterworks tub, dual-entry shower and custom vanity, creating a serene retreat. The home’s original stained-glass windows inspired a design that blends classic furnishings with natural elements. The addition of a veranda, pool and terrace allows for easy indoor-outdoor flow, flawlessly integrating with the home’s architecture. Careful attention to detail ensured the new spaces complement the residence’s historic charm while providing the ease and comfort needed for today’s busy family.
