Kitchen

Hillside Modern

Tasked with a kitchen renovation, IDBP transformed a dated ’80s space into a sophisticated, functional hub that blends with the rustic charm of the home. The clients sought a design that could grow with them, balancing modern style with quality materials that would stand the test of time. The key challenge was integrating high-end appliances, storage and fixtures into a space that was both open and highly visible to the rest of the home.

The solution: a wall of dark wood cabinetry that forms the foundation, providing much-needed storage and functionality. Adjacent to this, a lighter wall features custom reeded glass cabinets, which introduce texture and divide the space. A formerly unused office was transformed into a butler’s pantry, adding further utility. Artistic touches, like the striking Ijen Blue quartzite slab and a dramatic light fixture, complete the design, offering visual interest while maintaining the clean lines of a modern kitchen.
