Custom Home 3,001 to 6,000 Sq. Ft. Traditional Low Country, Coastal Style In the exclusive gated community of Loch Lloyd, this custom residence reflects a blend of traditional low country
Model/Speculative Home 3,001 to 6,000 sq. ft.
This home merges modern design with zen-inspired elements. The focus on natural materials was paramount, with countertops and tiles sourced from the earth, including high-end granite, marble and quartzite. A striking feature is the 8-foot-high granite anchor wall that extends from the basement to the roof, unifying the home’s interior and exterior with black tones. A natural limestone wall creates a private outdoor space, providing tranquility despite the home’s downtown Kansas City location.
A major challenge was the tight 13-month timeline, requiring long hours from the crew to meet the Artisan Home Tour deadline. Additionally, the Missouri limestone-rich site demanded 45 days of excavation to prepare the ground. Despite these obstacles, the project successfully showcased the team’s dedication and skill, resulting in a home that masterfully combines warmth, privacy and high-end finishes.
