Making Connections

Monarch Glass Studio brought artistry and connection to life in a transformative project that celebrates community and travel. The design weaves together vibrant, mouth-blown stained glass, intricate lighting and custom craftsmanship to create a cohesive, joyful space. A stunning stained glass window, crafted with bespoke colors representing local institutions like KU and Haskell University, anchors the project’s theme of connectivity.

Outside, illuminated towers guide visitors from the bus canopy to the main building. These ombré-lit structures, crowned with unique red blown-glass spheres, symbolize local pride and serve as welcoming beacons. Inside, the lobby dazzles with a six-foot chandelier of neon-lit blown glass, featuring radiant saucers and a custom-built metal frame.

The two-year endeavor overcame challenges of durability and engineering, delivering a resilient installation that combines beauty and strength. Monarch Glass Studio’s innovative approach unites form and function, leaving a lasting impression of artistry and community pride.
