A cozy condo corner offers the option of visual respite from a busy city center.
The inhabitants of this space can shut out the noise of the world and enjoy the soft serenity of filtered light. But—binoculars at the ready—they can raise the shades and take in the majestic views of the Country Club Plaza’s golden-hued Spanish-style architecture and bustling streets below.Â
This image, pulled from our archives (Fall 2021), shows the work of Elizabeth Rishel, CKD, of Orion Design. Previously an eat-in kitchen, the casually upholstered nook with built-in storage invites a pause in the day for a quiet tĂŞte-Ă -tĂŞte, or, just as easily, makes a rocking entertaining scene for a crowd.Â
“Now it’s a cocktail lounge to enjoy a drink or two,” Elizabeth says.
It’s here: that most wonderful time of the year! Amid the hustle and bustle of the season, take a moment to stop and smell the roses—or any other floral of your choice.
