Heather L. Lowe is a permanent artist in Residence at ElementC Studio since 2012. Working from her larger studio in the Black Forest of Colorado and recently spending most of her time painting from the Urban Loft Studio in Park Place, Leawood Kansas; Lowe has grown a significant body of work and created a brilliantly interesting market for her collected cork works. Troy is the creative “Captain” of the Madi Mali Homes team. Originally from the Midwest, he graduated with degrees in Architecture and Construction Management from Indiana State University and has been a design junky since the early age of 9. After graduating and performing various jobs as a Job Coordinator, Project Estimator and Overland Park Building Inspector, Troy opened MMH in 2003. Specializing in custom homes, he believes that every project should be exceptional, unique and reflect the owner’s personal style and taste. He is intimately involved in every aspect of design and construction, and is very careful to properly schedule so each project will receive his precise attention. Troy’s creative eye has also led the company into the Interior Design and Consulting market with the completion of total home re-designs, furnishings, office spaces, lower-level finishes, pools and cabanas and many charitable events and home tours. Mark has been a successful interior designer for over 20 years in both Atlanta and Kansas City. Prior to SID & Company, Mark’s eclectic design style of mixing vintage with modern had only been appreciated by his clients. In order to fill the design need for unique furniture pieces and accessories Mark and his wife Jean-Anne started searching out vintage pieces to have on hand.
In fact, They have always enjoyed the thrill of the hunt. Even when dating they would prefer to hit the flea markets and antique shops rather than go to dinner and a movie. So, they kept collecting over time, and as Mark and Jean-Anne say “you collect until it becomes a problem, then you open a shop.” In 2008, with a design office busting at the seams with one-of-a-kind treasures as well as the support and encouragement of family and clients, the idea to open SID & Company was born. Since opening its doors the couple’s passion for the hunt has only grown greater and they look forward to sharing it with you!
Woodson Antiques & Interiors was started in a private residence on Woodson Street in Raymore Missouri 50 years ago. In 1985 it was relocated to an old farm house where I am located today. The house was one of the first homes in Raymore and was built between 1861 and 1867 (the Civil War seemed to have interrupted construction).
Annual buying trips to Europe shortly followed the purchase of the current location and I now make 4 to 6 trips each year to bring back the best that Europe has to offer. I personally select items that are designed to bring distinctive elegance to your home at great values. After each trip I have an “Open House” and invite you to come and enjoy the many incredible antiques and accessories. Announcements (emails) are sent approximately 2 weeks before each Open House to notify our clients of the sale.
