Looking for a unique piece of furniture or accessory to complement your home’s décor? Just a 35-minute drive from downtown KCMO and the West Bottoms, you’ll find over 15,000 square feet of vintage and distinctive pieces at Kilgore’s Vintage & Design in Excelsior Springs, Missouri. A home goods destination, Kilgore’s Vintage & Design is your go-to destination for transforming your house into a home with style and sophistication. Specializing in one-of-a-kind decor, the store caters to those seeking unique and personalized pieces – including antique furniture, pottery, mirrors, artwork, textiles, and collectibles – to elevate their living spaces and gardens.
Owners Mark and Brenda Kilgore started selling antiques in the famous Roundtop, Texas, markets and still buy and sell there every year, adding fantastic new ‘old’ pieces to the shop.
“The store has a fun atmosphere, and there’s something new every week,” says Brenda. “There’s truly something for everyone. There’s also a clothing section, with what I call a Ralph Lauren vibe. In addition to our signature offerings, we have five amazing vendors from Colorado, Iowa and Kansas, selling a variety of vintage treasures.”
Come for the day and enjoy a break for coffee and light bites in the café – there’s also a man-cave with television – or discover one of the other dining options in downtown Excelsior Springs, near the charming Elms Hotel and Spa.
Don’t miss their pop-up shows with wine and charcuterie trays just in time for the holidays on Thursday, November 20 from 5 to 8 p.m. (for the trade) and two days open to the public on Friday-Saturday, November 21-22 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For designers looking for their customers, Brenda will shop for the perfect items for the client’s needs. Serving the greater surrounding area, Kilgore’s also offers convenient delivery options.
To find your next statement piece, visit the store Thursdays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
